A challenging and exciting discussion with someone who enjoys the thrashing out of ideas, and which doesn't end in an argument.

I don't like:

Staring at a blank screen and having no idea what to write, as if all understanding of the craft has been sucked completely out of my skull and unhelpful criticism of my work. (The kind that isn’t intended to make me a better writer but just make the critic feel better about themselves.)
